After 15 amazing years Akaroa Blue Pearls are no longer located in their custom built premises on the Akaroa Wharf. We have not gone far though so come find us just up past the Bakery in Akaroa and view our exciting new range of exclusively grown and superior quality blue pearl jewellery.

Blue pearls, or Paua pearls, are a mabe pearl cultured in the New Zealand Abalone Shell (Haliotis Iris). It is also commonly known in New Zealand as Paua. The hemispherical shape of the cultured pearl produced is an ideal shape for pendants, earrings and brooches and being a flat back pearl it opens up new possibilities for designs.

Using our exclusively grown and selected pearls we have developed special techniques to produce unique blue pearl jewellery for the discerning customer.
